January 26, 2011

I washed my hair today with Argan Hair One, I also used Healthy Sexy Hair Chocolate Soy milk, I did this about 3 times. Rinsed well and applied DRC-28 got under the dryer for 15 minutes, rinsed and apply a generous amount of Silk Elements MegaSilk Moisturizing Treatment, Steamed with that for 30 minutes. I actually was going to use AE, but I was so busy my hair air dried LOL.

I applied my leave ins on almost dry hair, and blow dried it straight. I applied Her Styler Serum to top it off. MY hair is unbelievably Soft. It feels strong. I am totally in love.

I figure to repeat this every 2 months. I am getting my hair rebraided and under a wig in a week. I have an event to go to and need it done.

I am WL now just to update cha!

Wen - Trial for $10 wow

So I have been using Hair one for over a year now. Yay and I truly love this stuff. I was looking at my favorite forum LHCF, there was a thread on Wen for $10 So I bought some. I am waiting for it to come.

I will take back a Hair One Argan Oil since I am trying to thin out my closet. I have to trade one in for a refund which will allow me to see which I like better. I will do a review on Wen as well.

I am going to try to come at you with one review of things I use per month until. LOL and One update. I might squeeze some extra blogging in here and there but 2 times a month (I know big whoopy) I am going to school so I am not going to be able to come on, but wait I just might, you know in school might get a moment where I can log on. We will see.

I am also on a NO BUY Wig Hiatus so I have a lot to show you on what I have and will be wearing.

Later this month I am doing a small Review on Tangle Teaser. I absolutely have to.
I am also going to give you a small brief on what I am doing to my hair for January. I bought some Henna - Lush Caca Noir that I am so Amped up to try. I have 7 more days until I remove my first set of braids for the new year. this will be my first time detangling with the Tangle Teaser after taking out my braids I am going to post pictures of my hair combed out regular from last time and TT this time. So Stay tuned.......

January 15, 2011

At the moment my scalp is a little itchy. I have 1 week and 4 days to go before removing my braids. I think that won't be a problem. I am going out today and am contemplating weather or not I will be wearing a long and curly wig instead of my regular Blair. Just for today.

Once I break these down I will be doing a DRC treatment. Deep condition my hair under the steamer with Silk elements and then put Alter Ego in my hair for one hour. I will braid back up February 6. :)

Next month I am going to wear Elise. I don't want to wear Elise to the Blue and Gold though. I will find another hair style just for that day. :)

Do I have a new schedule now. Kinda. LOL

January - Blair
February - Elise
March -
April - Delia
May - Kay
June - Funky Chic
July -
August - Mommy
September - Mommy
October - Fantasia
November - Shop for WIGS
December - Vanessa

So it might have changed slightly most of it is still the same. March, July and November will be wig free months. I will reveal in June on LHCF :) and December 30th :)

Next year I plan to have it out a little more but that might not be the case I might have to keep to this schedule to wear out of the braids 3 times a year. My schedule for next year would have had me out of braids 4 times a year which isn't bad. I would have more deep condition time. :) Hmmmmm. I guess we will have to see. Maybe 3 months on one month off 2 months on one month off then again 3 months on 1 month off then 2 months one and one month off.

2011 January - January 8. 2011

From now on I will give a monthly journal unless I change my routine. :) It will pretty much stay the same.

I have staple products and really want to just enjoy variety :)

So no weekly or bi-weekly reports, really just monthly and I might just sneak a extra journal in now and again. :)

2012 Plans

I will do a similar plan as in 2011. 2011 I will wig it every 3 months the 4th month I'd not wear my hair in wigs and I'd let my hair breath. For 2012 I will do every 2 months and then the 3rd month I will let it breath. It gives me 4 months of Babying my hair and 8 months of hiding it.

I plan to be WL by 2012 but things happen and I do n't know exactly where I will be. Hopefully alive if the good lord allows.

I will chart my list of wigs for 2012 next year. I will possibly do this again in 2013 as my permanent routine. It gives my hair even more time to be pampered :)

Heres to growing hair :)

2011 Goals Staples and what is going on - 1/06/ 2011

sO much has changed and so much has stayed the same. My hair goals for one has changed. LOL

I now want to be atleast 2 inches past WL. It just doesn't seem long until then. I also am happily wigging it up. I just love it. Variety is the spice of life.

My staples are as follows

Hair One - Olive Oil/Argan Oil
Alter Ego Garlic Conditioner
Silk Elements MegaSilk
APhogee 2 minute
DRC - 28
APhogee Leave in
Aphogee Green Tea
Argan Oil
HerStyler Serum

My new found friend the Tangle Teezer is awesome. I am over 6 months post at the moment and have been shedding fiercely. Well the Aphogee 2 minute weekly, along with the new way to wash my hair (more on that later), and The Tangle Teezer have been my savyor.

Well I now Part my hair in half and wash two different sections. I don't flip as I find the flip causes unnecessary tension.

I reached MBL November 2010 and should reach 2 inches past waist by December 2011.

December 12, 2010

Nothing has changed with my regimen. I am still wigging it. I have been in these braids for about 2/3 weeks and won't take them out until December 27th, 2010 or Jan. 4th. HUH!

Cheers to the New Year!

November 1, 2010 BKT

I tried my hand at the BKT, it burned like hell, Never have I burned like this with a relaxer, I've tingled but never felt like I was literally having chemical burns!!!! It make me choke, it also burned my eyes to tears.

HUH, with that said the pain lasted 5-10 minutes and the process was a process. I wish I could condition my hair then BKT.

My hair status is SOFT and Silky,

Here is a length check I might not do another this year,

October 23, 2010

I washed my hair with Healthy Sexy Hair chocolate Soy Milk Sulfate free shampoo 2 times then with Hair One Olive oil 1 time. Got under the steamer with Motions CPR for about 30 minutes, rinsed and put in Nexxus Emergencee for 3 minutes, rinsed, then put on Alter ego for about 30 minutes under a steam cap, rinsed added my leave in's Aphogee green tea and leave in, added a little argan oil. Got under dryer for 5 minutes, then blow dried my hair, added a little HERSTYLER serum and flat ironed my hair. :) added a little dab more of serum wrapped and went to bed.

This morning the day after I took it down looked at it and wrapped it back around and tossed my new Lace front Honey by Janet collection on. :) It looked great but it is cold outside and I need a hat on. LOLOLOLOL

September 29, 2010

This week I washed with HSH Chocolate Soy Milk Shampoo which is sulphate free. I rinsed and steamed under the steamer with Motions CPR, rinsed and applied Nexxus Emergencee for about 5-10 minutes (was running around doing things), rinsed and then applied Alter Ego on under a self heating cap for about 30 minutes. Rinsed, applied aphogee leave in and green tea. Got under the dryer for 5 minutes, applied some HerStyler Serum and blow dried the rest out. :)

I twisted up in a bun,

My hair definitely feels stronger doing this every 2 weeks. It is something I don't plan to stop. I flopped on this by accident as always. I was about to dish out the money for Dudley's DRC 28. But was like you have so much crap left, and told myself I had to use up the like before ordering it. NOW, I don't think I will, I think I will keep this partnership up for quite some time. LOL

My cousin came over and braided my hair in a beehive so I will be sporting my lace fronts for the next two to three weeks ;)

September 21, 2010

have been washing my hair, just most likely haven't posted each time. I am going back up into a LF next week for 2 weeks only. :) so here is what I did.

Glad to be here another day. This week I washed my hair with my favorite ..... Hair One olive oil. I then put on my Alter Ego sat under my steamer for 30 minutes, rinsed out and put Aphogee 2 minutes on for 2 minutes LOL rinsed added my leave ins Aphogee Green tea and leave in and got under my hooded dryer, after drying 90% I added HerStyler Serum blow dried and then added a little Argan Oil.

I am wearing a clip in bang with my clomb claw in the back with my hair twisted up Love it

August 31, 2010

Well I wrote a journal about taking out my braids August 24th I have washed my hair 3 times since then due to the hair being over moisturized.

Yesterday I sat contemplating about how to get my hair stronger without purchasing yet another miracle in the bottle Dudley's DRC 28.

4 days ago I gave myself an APhogee 2 step treatment that for some reason didn't take. Hair felt weak and over moisturized.

SO yesterday what I did was I got up in the morning.

I washed with HAir one Tea Tree and Olive Oil, Sat for a minute, Then I put on Motions CPR under the steamer for 30 minutes, then I rinsed and gave myself a nexxus treatment- My hair was strong after the CPR but even Stronger after the Nexxus, then I applied Alter Ego garlic conditioner under a heated cap for 20 minutes rinsed, Aphogee leave in, aphogee green tea, a little argan oil, and got under the hooded dryer dried the hair 90% came from under put a little nu gro through out the hair four sprays :D

Then I blow dried it 2 minutes if that. I applied some Herstyler serum and that was it, wrapped it around and have been wearing Vanessa :D

August 24, 2010

I took my braids out Whew after four weeks. I got a baseball sized (3/4) of hair. I combed it and detangled before wetting. It seemed a little overly moisturized.

I washed with Aphogee Shampoo for damaged hair for Clarifying 2 times.

I then washed with Hair One Olive oil to soften things up.

I then used nexxus emergencee for 5 minutes, rinsed

FINALLY opened my Alter EGO Garlic Conditioner gifted to me by IDARET a sister from the forum thanks Idare. And I steamed for 30 minutes. I rinsed sprayed my Aphogee green Tea & Leave in, then a smudge of Argan Oil and a little Herstyler Serum and I sat under the dryer for 10 minutes while I dried 90%

I then Blow dried with my hand dryer and afterwards added 2 more pumps of Serum and Two Sprays in my hand of my new favorite NU Gro Moisturizer Spray.

My hair felt unbelievable but my scalp was irritable and sore since taking out the braids.

next time I will use a heavy Aphogee 2 step protein treatment before getting the braids to help with the moisture I will be receiving.

Next braid date is September 10, 2010 or September 7th ;)

August 16, 2010

I shampoo'd my beehive braids today with Dry Shampoo, I am iffy about it today no super feel. I just really want these braids OUT! This is the longest One week and one day I have left OMG.

Next week I plan to removed the braids and wash with Aphogee Shampoo for damaged hair, I am going to use this as my clarifying shampoo this time, then I will use Nexxus Emergencee, Steam with Shescentit Banana Brulee/Aphogee 2 minute mix and then I might just go get a doobie who knows :)

August 12, 2010

I still have my braids in 2 weeks 2 days down and 1 week and 5 days to go. Wow I can't believe I made it this long, LOL

I can say it is teaching me to just relax a bit. I won't lie though once these braids come out I am going back to washing weekly and steaming. I miss washing my hair and I know it is dirty. I used the dry shampoo but water is my friend. :)

My braids are fine, I have a spot that is on my edge from my previous wig caps that pulled my hair out a little. My hair is always think on that side so I don't really care too much. I do want my hair back don't get me wrong but I am not going to go crazy.

I have decided I will rock MINA for September, I cut her lace today and I am really excited. :D

I will register for school after my kids have been in school for like a month or two :)

August 8, 2010

My hair is still up in the B-hive braids, I did finally use the Organic Root Stimulator Herbal Cleanse Dry Shampoo today. All I can say is WOW, my scalp feels clean and my hair feels soft. I could ask for nothing more. :) I am so happy I decided to purchase it. I will apply some moisturizing spray and some Chi Keratin Mist or APhogee Green tea and call it a day. :) I am so glad to find a way to give my Scalp what it needs when I am in braids. :)

4-2-6 My new regimen 2010-2012 August 7, 2010

I probably discussed this in a previous Journal but I am adapting 4/2/6 in a 2 year cycle. So that I could give myself a break, use up some products and enjoy looking stylish :)

4/2/6 broken down

4 WEEKS OF BRAIDS IN (under wigs) Beehive style - I will rinse the braids, no aggitating them, I will spray watered down shampoo sulfate free Chocolate Soy Milk ontop of the braids let them sit and spray with hose.

Tap some conditioner on and get under steamer all this once every 10 days.

Three times a week min - Spray with braid spray and CHI- keratin mist ;)

2 WEEKS of NO BRAIDS - I will use this time to baby my hair, Clarify it and deep condition. I can wear my hair in a Bun, Phony Pony, Doobie, or really what ever I choose, but it has to be semi-low maintanence for me. After the two weeks it goes back up in braids or if it is relaxer time, it gets relaxed.

6 WEEKS - Right after a relaxer I have 6 weeks to baby my hair, and wear Doobies, :) most likely this is what I will wear, go to the salon and enjoy some one else doing my hair for a few weeks out of the year :)

I will still get my relaxers every 4 months...
I will still trim my hair every 3-4 months myself with the split ender and if I need a cut I will determine that at the time.

I will still enjoy my own hair which is what I love about this program. It is not hide all your hair forever and then be frustrated when it is out mode.

Well this sums it up. My products are still the same the only addition is ParNevu T-Tree Braid Spray during braid up time and when off all is my normal regimen. :)

July 27th, 2010

I washed my hair this week with Hair One Olive Oil, Applied Aphogee 2 minute under my conditioning cap for about 20 minutes, rinsed and applied Nexxus for 5 minutes, rinsed and washed again with Hair One Olive Oil, Rinsed and Put in my She Scent It Banana Brulee with a smidge of APhogee 2 minute under the steamer for 30 minutes. Rinsed, towel dried, applied Aphogee Leave in, & Chi Keratin Mist got under the dryer for 10 minutes, applied a little more Chi Keratin Mist, HerStyler Serum and blow dried the rest of my hair. A few hours later braided my hair into a beehive and I have been Rocking my Delia WIg by It's a Wig. :)

I love this wig right now, it is definitely stylish.

I just bought some HErbal cleansing Dry shampoo, Braid Spray and conditioning caps who knows what this heat and weekend might bring?

New regimen 2010/2011 - July 21, 2010

Hey Ladies, I am back in the game while my last two wigs fell through on purchase I ordered 2 more last week. Short bobs, I ordered the MEsh wig cap. I also purchased 3 LF on the exchange so that is 5 in total coming my way. The first two are human hair and the other three are future meaning I can still use my iron.

MY PLANS for the rest of 2010 and all of 2011 is as follows:

I will wear my hair 4 weeks with beehive and wear a LF/Wig ontop
I will wear my hair out 2 weeks in between refreshing my braids
I will relax every 4 months as usual
after my relaxer I will wait 4-5 weeks to get my hair braided, during this time I will go to the DOOBIE shoppe and enjoy my hurr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monthly - Nexxus Treatment/DC
Dust every other month
Except week before relaxer where I will give myself and aphogee treatment
Daily or every other day - Spritz with a good spritz, or my own mix
Low Agitation of braids while they are in

Measuring in at 22 1/2 inch exactly I round down to 22

July 18, 2010

I washed my hair today with CLarifying shampoo after getting into the pool then shampoo'd and conditioned with Hair oNe olive oil for 20 minutes, then rinsed it out and applied a little extra hair one for leave in.

July 9, 2010

I went to the Salon for this weeks wash. I got a nice treatment and got under the steamer I did use my own ORS Replenishing Pak and Aphogee 2 minute. They rinsed well and roller set, I dried for 1 hour but guess what i wasn't totally dry. Just a smidge more. My beautician blew dry my hair a little only in some sections. she then pin curled and put a large bobby pin (which now they charge :( ). During this process she put something on my hair, it smelled great and then she used some kind of serum. I liked it. Overall my hair feels great. I miss the salon and will be going back after my vacation to get a COLOR, deep condition and rollerset :)

July 3rd, 2010

Oh yes I just got finished washing my hair.

The first wash after the relaxer :D

I washed with Hair One Olive Oil, Deep conditioned under the steamer with ORS Replenishing Pak, rinsed, put Aphogee 2 minute on for about 15 minutes, rinsed well, put ChI keratin mist and aphogee leave in, Dried for about 5 minutes under hood dryer, not completely dry, we put on Argan oil combed hair and put in some NTM Silk Touch and pony'd up No Blow drying today!

June 30, 2010 - Relaxer

I got a Relaxer, Cut and Deep Conditioner. I didn't get my color this time maybe I will try again to do it myself. I used my Favorite Motions Relaxer system which I take to the stylist to apply, I had about 2 inches trimmed , I had a deep conditoner and she flat ironed it in curls. I am very pleased.

June 27, 2010

Couldn't wait until TUesday or thursday to wash my hubby said the build up from my gel was showing so therefore I am sitting under the dryer with APhogee 2 Step on my hair. I will steam today haven't done that in a while. . I think My Ion moisture extreme will be the choice for today. I clarified my hair whew hew, will shampoo with Hair one after the APhogee 2 step, I have found this allows me to make sure not too much protein is on my head and will prevent protein overload. Not many choices of open Moisturizing conditionersl I have my Banana Brulee Hmm maybe this one, but when I get under the steamer she is wicked she will make it seem like Aphogee 2 step was never applied LOL. I have Ion extreme moisture, Yes to carrots and Aussie 3 minute moisture.

It's 5:30. I started at 5:15 wonder how long it's going to take

Edit: I used all that was listed but my hair was tangled bad, I am guessing from not combing. I used ORS Replenishing Pak and left that one for about 30 minutes. My hair was smooth and soft.

I will be relaxing on June 30, 2010 Wednesday. :) So this came right on time.

June 19, 2010

2 more inches to claim MBL :D and 4 more to claim WL. I am excited ladies. I will be back to where I was.

I washed my hair today with Hair One Tea Tree on scalp and Hair One Olive Oil on my strands. I rinsed and applied APhogee 2 minute for about 30 minutes. I then rinsed that out and put Silk elements Megasilk treatment with PC in for 2 hours. Lo and behold it was better than BUTTER, ahhhh, I sprayed CHI keratin mist, HSH Soy Leave In, Argan Oil, got under the dryer for 5 minutes, blow dried for 2. :)

Silky Smooth hair!

I flipped it up in an ouchless band and called it a day!

June 11, 2010

I don't remember if I wrote a journal last week but I did was and do pretty much similar things I just added a nice roller set which I did this week as well.

This week June 11, 2010 I washed with Hair One Olive Oil. I used nexxus Emergencee for 3 minutes, rinsed and sat with my beloved Silk Elements MegaSilk Creme TUb for 2 hours. :) I loves this conditioner. :D

June 1, 2010

Today I still have my braids in :D but I had to break down and water wash. I used hair one and steamed under with Aphogee 2 minute mixed with She scent it Banana Brulee. I have yet to rinse it out but after ward I am only using CHI keratin Mist and a leave in, will air dry :D

May 20, 2010

I washed my hair with HO OO, Aphogee 2 minute for 2 minutes, got under the steamer with SheScentit Banana Brulee. My hair definitely felt over moisturized slightly. I had my hair braided in a circle and will be rocking Half wigs and lace fronts for 3 weeks so I will be back with updates then.

Next wash I will use a heavier protein to bring my balance back to my hair. :)

May 14, 2010

Today I did my little cousins hair. I am so happy it came out lovely. Feeling soft and silky.

I relaxed her hair not long ago and it was very damaged from heat as she was natural. She has so much damage it was frightening. The breakage was unimaginable. I was scared.

So she changed her products to better products, upon my suggestion of course. Nexxus Therapee and Humectress.

Today I washed her hair with a clarifying shampoo Ion. I then put in Aphogee 2 step under the dryer for 30 minutes, then I put a mixture of SE Cream Tub, ORS Replenishing Pak, and Porosity Control under the steamer for 40 minutes. Her hair was so SILKY SOFT, MY GOODNESS I am going in all the right directions cause the heads have never been this soft.

I put Aphogee Keratin Mist, HSH Soy Leave In, Argan Oil in her hair with a little Citre Shine Luminator, and Blow dried her out.

Hair was silky :) Smooth.

May 13, 2010

Well todays wash was different as I wanted to try a new product as well as lean on an old faithful Aphogee 2 step. Shun the day I think to rid my life of it. I have been faithful for over 17 years and will not steer now.

I washed my hair with Hair One OO - I then applied my Aphogee 2 step and dried under the dryer about 20 minutes. After I rinsed well I got my steamer ready for me to go, I applied Banana Brulee gifted to me by a dear E-Friend. I combed it through and tossed a claw clip on top to hold my hair. Got under the steamer for about 40 minutes. I didn't immediately rinse it out, I let my head cool off and then I rinsed it out to face SOFT hair and softer roots. Beautiful feeling. I towel dried, applied Aphogee keratin leave in, Healthy Sexy hair Soy Leave In, then I applied a dab of argan oil and combed into 3 sections in which I blow dried it out. Even after all that my hair smells of the SheScentIT Banana Brulee!

My Son's Hair May 13, 2010

Morning All,

I had a free day yesterday and had to do my son's twist over which is an all day even after he gets home from school HUH!

I told him he had his twist for 3 weeks and I was proud of him. Jo-Jo's normal is 2 weeks. So 3 is excellent. :D

I washed his hair twice with Paul Mitchele Tea Tree shampoo, once with Matrix Hydrating Shampoo. He then went under the dryer with SE Green Tub MegaSilk. I twisted his hair in single twist :D

He is ready for double stranded twist next week. :) Will post pictures of it when I am able to transfer pics. I am all crazy over here.

Before your relaxer - 5/8/2010

One Week before I get my relaxer I always use a Clarifying shampoo and then a heavy protein followed by moisture. I usually use Aphogee 2 Step. This time I will try Motions CPR instead of Aphogee, hey if it doesn't work I will just go back to normal. I am experiencing little to NO breakage.

I use the protein then a heavy moisture. I was told not to blow dry but she's been doing very well relaxing my hair even after a blow dry :D So I might continue to do BD !

In order to use up my CHI SILK INFUSION I will be applying this to the ends of my hair right before I relax to ensure no run off gets on those older parts :)

May 5, 2010

Happy Cinco De Mayo :D

Today I clarify'd my hair with Ion, I then applied Aphogee 2 minute, then Nexxus Emergencee, washed with Hair One Olive Oil, used ORS replenishing pack for one hour under my self heating cap, rinsed and then instead of going under the dryer I applied some Argan Oil and Chi Keratin Mist and blow dried it out. Silky smooth!

April 22, 2010

Well I have no will power. I washed my hair as usual with Hair One Olive Oil left that one for 10 minutes. I then rinsed it out and added Aphogee 2 minute to towel dried hair. After staying under the steamer for 5 minutes with that I then rinsed added Yes To Carrots Mask to towel dried hair. My hair felt so soft to the touch I combed through and got under the steamer for about 15 minutes adding Porosity control to my hair. After I rinsed I towel dried and sprayed with CHI Keratin Mist and HEalthy Sexy Hair Soy Leave in. Before I got a chance to add Herstyler Serum I hit the product and it crashed to the floor and broke, I tried to pick it up but I felt glass in my hands I grabbed some tissue and cleaned the mess, tossing it to the trash. I then added very little Argan Oil, under the drier for 10 minutes and blow dried for 2.
Put my hair up into a pony, My hair feels soft and moisturized, for some reason the outer edges seemed dry so I put some NTM Silk touch leave in -in. Grabbed a headband and whala, it was soft and silky!

April 13, 2010

washed my hair with Hair one olive oil loved the feeling as always.

I switched it up this time and used the ORS packet Replenishing that is. I steamed it in for 20/30 minutes. soft as cotton, rinsed and wham it felt gummy, I made a dash for the Aphogee 2 minute and left it on for 2 minutes. rinsed it felt human again. I towel dried first, it felt wonderful. I got under the hooded dryer wonderful again. Combed it out wonderful, put a little serum in it. THEN whIen I blow dried it with the hand held it started to feel sticky. Weird, so I put some Citre Mist in it to calm it down and that it did. But The build up feeling remains :(

BSB/BSL 2010 - April 12, 2010

I am claiming it today right now. I didn't think it was really growing for this season. It didn't seem so. Anywho, WOW I m super dooper excited that now I can work on MBL. I might get there by December. Not really caring right now. My hair still seems short but I am not bothered I wear it in a bun anyway. So far so good!

MBL or WL that is the Question? 4/10/2010

I am writing today because I am at a lost of what I want at the moment.

I have had long hair most of my life except when I BC'd for my own personal reasons. No fads just waiting to exhale. LOL

The longest my hair has been was between MBL and WL.

I never cared about my hair as far as length until my husband let me know he wanted it back. Otherwise, I didn't care if it grew or not. IT just grew even though I wore fake hair like it was my own.

My dilemma is, do I grow it to MBL or do I grow it past and get to WL. I really don't want the issues of WL. I hated my hair past MBL it was annoying and wasn't easy to deal with. Now that I am on my hair care journey though my hair seems different all around. I am more patient and attentive to my hair in a caring way not just on making it look good.

Oh well we will see? your input would be appreciated :)

April 9, 2010

Nothing this week to my hair. I am actually letting my hair rest this week. Nothing is wrong. Just every so often I will give my hair a week off. Not monthly maybe every other month.

I am just moisturized my hair tonight with NTM silk leave in. Yesterday I put a little argan oil in it, just because. My hair feels really soft and really moisturized. I am very happy with my hair at this current moment. Well heres to next weeks shampoo. :)

April 2, 2010

This week was my rest week. I decided to color my hair after looking at it and seeing hi-lites YUCK!

I used Revlon Color Silk #10.

I colored and left on for 20 minutes. I washed once with Motions Neutralizing shampoo, 2 times with Ion Clarifying shampoo. I then gave myself my monthly Protein Nexxus Emergencee. Rinsed and then I shampooed with Hair One Olive Oil left it on and added a smudge of Ion Extreme Moisture and PC mix, got under the steamer for 30 minutes. I let the towel sit for about 5 minutes, under the hooded dryer for 5 minutes and then blow dried for 2 minutes. My scalp felt unbelievable, and so does my hair. The color is great and I am happy I am no longer looking old!

March 26, 2010

My hair this week was awesome. I didn't itch a bit. Matter fact I could have gone 2 weeks with no shampoo had I not attempted to use Caruso Curls that frizzed up my ends. :(

I have since returned those and will never attempt again as that was my 2nd try.

I shampooed this week with the same that I used last week. Hair One Olive Oil x 2 and under the steamer with Ion Extreme Moisture. :) for 20 minutes. then I sat under my self heated cap for 1 hour.

It was great I then dried under the hooded dryer for 10 minutes with 2 minute spotted blow dry.

Hair felt great. I am still getting a little breakage. I am not happy about that, I must review my styling of my hair to see if that may be an issue. My hair is ultra soft and bouncy.

I use the same products after rinsing out my Deep conditioner. Aphogee Keratin Green tea and a leave in such as Aphogee or Redken. Herstyler is my serum and I have not yet put any argan oil in, but I can't speak for later.

review - Bone comb #206 - March 21, 2010

Well lets start off by saying, I am taken aback from this comb. I paid about $17 for the comb and I said I'd never. Who pays all of that for a comb?

Well I ate my words. I put out the funds for this comb and my scalp and hair say thanks alot. you don't need this comb to enjoy long hair. It is more of a luxury. But what it doesn't have is seams that may snag your hair. It is great on the scalp, it glides through your hair with no resistance when dry at all. When Wet it does an easier comb job. Would I purchase this comb again? for sure. This comb is made of resins. It is well worth the price and comparable to the mason brush which is also not needed but a luxury and a wonderful addition to any hair lovers collection.

Review- Hair One Olive Oil - March 21, 2010

I wet my hair for about one minute. I pumped HO - OO into my hair and wet it, it foamed up well and I rinsed for about 4 minutes, I washed again. It didn't give me as much slip as the HO - Jojoba version but the out come was bouncy hair. Slip doesn't matter all the time. I get absolutely no build up (with JOJOBa I tend to get a slight build up a little after a few washes) and my hair is undoubtly clean. :)

March 18, 2010

Well this week I washed my hair with Hair One Olive Oil, and deep conditioned with Ion Extreme Moisture under the steamer. My hair came out really well. I totally enjoyed the feel. It was very loose and soft. I used my Aphogee Keratin Green Tea and Leave in conditioner. Under dryer for 10 minutes and blowed out for 2 minutes.

I am still getting some breakage that has been going on for the past month, Little pieces and big pieces about 10. I am using my bone comb which I love, I sorta feel like the little mermaid, atleast I feel like singing lahlah lah, lah lah lah lah when I am combing my hair. LOL!

March 13, 2010

Today I washed with Hair One twice, I then put in Silk Elements Olive Oil Megasilk Moisturizing Conditioner under the steamer 20/30 minutes, afterward I put porosity control in it then sprayed Aphogee Green tea, Aphogee Leave in & then put in Herstyler serum and argan oil.

Dried under the dryer for 10 minutes then dried with a hair dryer for about 2-3 minutes. added a smidge of Chi in it and all is good. :D

My hair feels really good, only my hairline edges feel a little raw, I don't know if it is because the terry headband is around it or what. The rest of the hair feels nice, soft light weight. I am actually wearing it out, in a banana clip. How I wish I could find nice banana clips. Unforutnately I am coming to the end of a few of my products :(

My aphogee Green tea is on thin Ice, so is my yes to carrots, only because I shared with my son and my cousin. I figure the 8oz container will last about 9 uses. While my hair feels light and bouncy with Yes to carrots, SE Green container makes my hair feel very well conditioned with both protein and moisture while YTC is great for moisture. Oh well we will see I will use this same regimen next week so I can see better the results after one use!

A Son's Natural Journey - March 13, 2010

A son's natural journey will be my son's natural journey.

My son wears his hair in twist. My regimen for him is 2 weeks at a time.

Every 2 weeks. I rinse his hair with the twist in it. I apply ample V05 conditioner to his hair. I make sure it is around the whole of the head and start to comb with a rake. The rake slides through nicely. After I comb through completely we rinse.

I wash with Paul Mitchel Green Tea Shampoo.
We then wash with Herbal Essense Hello Hydration only once each shampoo. Then we apply a deep conditioner moisturizing mostly. Last week we used Yes To Carrots, This week I will use up and complete Neutrogena Triple Moisture. I put him under the steamer for 30 minutes, we rinse and start our twist.

It takes about 2-3 hours for me to complete the procedure, he gets under the dryer to dry for 45 minutes to 1 hour. I want it completely dry so that it won't get messed up and it will stay. I spray no holding spray on it. I just have him put on his duwrag. I am going to purchase him a satin cap so that I can see if it will stay longer. :)

March 6, 2010

This week for my wash I needed to clarify for the month. Ahhhh, How I love when I do clarify.

I love my Hair One, it just doesn't allow me to use another heavy conditioner. Not two weeks straight anyway.

I clarifyed with Ion Clarifying shampoo, followed up be Nexxus Emergencee, Chocolate SoyMilk Sulfate Free Shampoo x1, and then under the steamer for 30 minutes with Yes to Carrots Mud Mask. Sprayed Aphogee Green Tea, 3 pumps of Herstyler Hair serum (I love this stuff), a smidge of Argan oil, Under the dryer for about 15 minutes, then I blew Dry for about 2 minutes if that.

Status: My hair had so much Swagger. It was not only BOUncy but shiney and had that swang, You know what I mean :) It is Still feeling great I washed it Thursday and today is Saturday and it still feels very nice. I did Moisturize with NTM Leave in and then put 2 pumps of Herstyler in it with Argan oil.

I think I will lighten up on adding the oils and such until mid week, since they did say you have about 5 days of moisture I will put some in on day 3 and day 6 to space it out some.

Otherwise I am happy ultra happy with my results. :)

Review: Hair One Jojoba 2/25/2010

I am reviewing Hair one Jojoba Version.

I start off by rinsing my hair for about 1 minutue, I then put a palm full of Hair One in the middle of my hair and then again in the back, I rub it around and message my scalp, wet it and rub a little more in it, it foams a little and I keep it moving. My fingers that is. I rub and let it sit for about 10 minutes. I do this 2 times.

Rinse and the feeling is unbelievable. It is soft and clean. I describe the feeling as melting in my hands. after I get a good foaming I comb through with a comb ot ensure it is evenly distributed. I enjoy this cleanser and will continue to use it as long as it gives me these wonderful results. My hair is light, full of body, healthy above all. :D

Hair one is a winner, If you need to wash one time and go, it is perfect you get both at the same time.

Review Aphogee Leave in & Green Tea Recontructurizer 2/25/2010

I started using these products in 2008 and they haven't left my staples yet. I use it each and every time I shampoo my hair.

After washing my hair and DCing it with my choice of wonderful Conditioners in my Closet:

I section my hair into four sections I spray 2 sprays per section with Aphogee Leave in, then I spray Aphogee Green Tea Reconstructerizer the same way. I comb it down and proceed to either get under the hooded dryer or hand dry.

I do notice if I don't use the Green Tea my hair isn't as shiny!

They both have kept my hair in top condition, I have no complaints or shedding.

Review Aphogee 2 Step, SFDH, and BM 2/25/2010

I have been using products for years, I have been into hair care since 8 so you can fathom the things I have used. I am now going to do a review for everything I use or have in my possession right now.

I have used Aphogee 2 step for years, I will continue to use it or atleast have a little in my closet. I use it before every relaxer or when I feel my breakage is extreme.

I wash my hair with Clarifying Shampoo (Ion) aphogee shampoo for damaged hair (SFDH) x 1, I then comb my hair down with a part in the middle and spray my hair making sure to hand move it to the ends. I go under the dryer until it is dry and Hard. I don't manipulate the hair or bother the hair while under the dryer. once dry I rinse until the hair softens. then I rinse some more. LOL

After all is said and done, I put the Balancing Moisturizer on (BM) with some Nexxus Humectress and either go under the dryer for 30 minutes or place a Conditioning Cholesterol Cap Self warming for about 1-2 hours. Rinse, use my after care products and Beautiful hair every time :)

Relaxer February 2010 -- 2/23/2010

I got a relaxer 13th of this month. My hair is acting well, no breakage or heavy shedding like it usually does after a relaxer. :D I was also told my ends were in fabulous condition. I figure I owe that to extending my conditioner time to 1-2 hours per week. It sure was extra time but worth it in the end :D I still got a minor trim.

Personally I notice no big growth in my hair. I am due to have my steamer by tomorrow :D
I am so excited for that.

I have been getting my HF treatments 2 times this month already and will get another before the weeks end.

I am dying to use my steamer. I will let you know my steam schedule and what worked for me. :) Revamp again time. LOL always.

Regimen Changes all the time 1/21/2010

My regimen has changed so many times, lol, that is the trick with new products and knowing your hair needs.

I tried coconut oil a week ago and HATED IT, I also used my hair to wipe up the spill I made, so that was my first mistake.

I melted it down today and used a little bit and my hair said thanks for it now we LOVE IT. LOL.

I am using my Hair one $12 dollar Wen Knock off and my hair likes it. I want to eventually use up all the products and have and simplify what I am using. If I only have Hair one, and aphogee for the side for protein, Motions shampoos and products for relaxer time, Ion Clarifying shampoo, and then just my Hair one that seems to be all my needs. Of course the Hair one would be in constant use while the others are on a when needed basis.

I am also sticking to my Wigs, I ordered a second Elise today and 4 other hair pieces. I love my hair pieces and would love to for 90% of this year keep them in rotation only flat ironing when I want to wear my hair out.

I am also getting into headbands, I love it, love it. I never cared for them but now I do, I can't really wear them comfortably with my lacefronts but that is fine. I don't want to have 50 lace fronts just sitting around to say I have 50 lace fronts, I want to use them in a constant rotation. Maybe 2 weeks at a time or monthly! Maybe. lol

Another Day 12/30/2009

Oh well as the new years approach I figure I have several challenges ahead of me, why not add more. But I won't.

I am in the BSL/BSB Challenge which I am hostessing, MBL challenge, Wig Challenge, Detangling Challenge of 2010 and I am so excited. So I definitely feel I can succeed with all these challenges, I am Scraping BSL, only 4 inches to go till MBL, So I can get a hair cut and still be MBL :)

Not Quite as planned 10/17/2009

I reached APL yeah, and I am currently trying to reach my goal of BSL by next year June 2010 a long ways away. I only have about 3 inches to get. I cut my hair every four months to keep my style going. I don't want three strands just to say I have BSL hair.

My hair is doing swell, I still use the same products mostly. I don't do the scalp treatments like I should but I will try once a month :)

Winter is here and I am going to be washing once every other week instead of weekly. I just got a relaxer on the 10th of October. I love the way it feels, MY stylist put's her thing thing in when she does my hair. :)

I got a Cut, COLOR, treatment and relaxer. I was about 21.5 inches and she cut off the ends, as well as layered it :)

I will update pictures later I want to keep the suspence. LOL March of 2010 I will be updating I should have a few inches gathered by then and maybe even at my goal, but if not June won't be far away. :)

My Journey Continues 12/13/2009

I have been doing really good, I have had minor set backs could have been worse.

I went to Florida and was in the pool and didn't wash my hair out, so yep the chlorine set in and dried hard for 7 days, I forgot my shampoo and used the hotel little things and nada.

I got home and wow, alot of hair came out, lost alot of my thickness, compared to my beginner disney pics to my ending results I SEE the difference. BUt it could have been worse so who's complaining? NOT ME!

My hair right now is past APL yeah, and I am inching to BSL which because I am short isn't that far, LOL, I am hoping to actually make 2 milestones next year being BSL/BSB and MBL. I believe that won't be too much anymore for me to handle. I am WIGGING it up though for most of the ride.

NOW, I do believe in the High Frequency treatment works. Yes it does, but I couldn't stand the SHEDDING yes it does shed and yes I know it is normal but I couldn't hack it! LOL

I don't use any megatek or anything like that I do take protein shakes once a week not for hair sake, I was doing this way before hair, it is because I have a poor diet and this is my way not to be malnourished.

Other than that nothing is too new! I am going to be wigging in up, I have right now "IT Tresses - IVY", Bali Girl, Lauren and Movie Star.

I am excited, excited! I will actually post pictures of those as well. So gear up!

2010 soon to come 12/19/2009

am SOOOO, excited ladies for 2010 challenges, They can't come soon enough. I know I have written several other about my plans for 2010, but I am looking forward to just relaxing and not doing anything that would set me back such as going into a pool and not putting conditioner in to protect my hair from the chlorine.

Right now I am hoping my camera cords will be together so I can get my current pictures up on the Fotki, I also need to get my magic line shirt ready lol.

Anywho, I am actually not washing it every week giving it a 2 week in between until April then it will be washed weekly again. Other than February when I get my relaxer when I need to deep condition it for about 3 weeks after my fresh relaxer. March every 2 weeks then start back to once a week in April.

Spring, AHHHHH, I am hoping to BSL by June 2010

MBL by December 2010,

Cuts only in February, June and October

Deep conditioner with every wash

Protective Styling with the wigs I love to wear, Nightly wear of Satin Caps, Lace Fronts for the Summer with maybe limited wearing out. The lace fronts will keep my hair done, I need to sew up some alfits as well, I want a total of 20 alfits 5 skirts sets, 5 capri sets, 8 dresses 2 shorts sets. So Far I have 3 dresses ready, I have one skirt, and several Halter tops that need me to fix the zippers on them. HUH, life of a Seamstress. I am excited though. I would love to get these 5 dresses made, 1-2 wrap dresses, Shawls to go with all the dresses that are strap less, One Black and one lavendar.

Well seams (lol Seems) like I will be focusing lots on fashion and less on my hair, but I will be here January 30, June 2010 and October 2010. I don't know the exact dates of the June and October but I will try my best. :)

Bad Hair Days 4/11/2009

Oh, Well

I must say that since starting MEGA TEK it has given me MEGA HAIR BREAKAGE and I feel so Horrid.

I washed my hair today and applied Nexxus Emergencee, BIG MISTAKE. I was trying to stop the damage MegaTek had taken on my hair.

Good news is that my hair 4 weeks ago was 19 inches and today it was 19.25 which means in spite of the breakage it was still growing. I lost atleast 3/4 inches. I think I got a good rate of 3/4 last month and lost it all.

I went on vacation and co-washed my life away. SO I am going back to my previous methods once I get my hair balanced again.

For the next 3 weeks I am doing Nexxus Therappe, Nexxus Humectress and DCing with Silk Elements MegaSilk Moisturizing Deep Conditioner under dryer for 20 minutes. I am hoping that the breakage of 20 pieces drops significantly. I also trimmed my hair. So far this week I have received one Violet Ray treatment. I don't know if that is why my hair is growing rapidly. My husband says it is growing, I only cut 1/4 inch off my hair, All I can say is that he beginning of last month I was 18.5, I lost 3/4 (yes I measure) and I also cut 1/4 off. So that was a full inch I cut off. I measured today, minus the breakage and it was 19.25, trimmed and had 19 inches left. So ladies guess what, I am keeping it up and low to no comb for the next week; wash day is on Friday.

After my breakage stops, I will be looking for someone to put a weave in my hair. I am really due for a relaxer in June, SO I might just wait until the middle or end of July to get my braid in weave done. I will leave it in for 2 months only. My relaxer is due in October and I would want to put anything in it right after I relax my hair. Take it out for 2-4 weeks and put it back in 1 week before November hits, I am going on vacation and would like to not be bothered with my hair. I would take it out for Christmas and call it a day!

It is definitely the only way I can keep my little hands out of my hair.

My Personal Goal 3/07/2009

I have some personal Goals for my hair.

> I want to be APL by May 31, 2009 - Looks like it could be done.

> I want to be BSL by November 1, 2009 - Maybe so maybe no.

> April, MAY, JUNE - No hair supplies can be bought, unless I run out of a product

> Once I reach APL I will wear protective Styles until BSL or Maybe Full BSL.

> Once I reach my goal I will get my trims once every 2 months to up keep the length and health of my hair in tact!

> During the Summer weather Co-Wash is vamped up to 2 times a week, Shampoo Once a week is maintained

> Visit the salon once a month

> Before buying new Deep Conditioners must use 2 to get one so we don't have a whole stock of BSS products :)

> Wear my hair out for one week out of the month once I reach my goal. Buns for the rest of the time, allows me to show off my hair when I go out and protect it on a daily basis!

> Co-Wash put a light deep conditioner like Neutrogena Triple Moisture

> Color hair once every 4-6 months (black only no BLEACHING) That is DANGEROUS!
