QVC JUNKY # 1 - Me SMOOTH By Elos

Hello, Hello

Long time no Blog. I know I have been a bad girl, but...I have a lot of reviews I am going to be getting into, because while I am studying my subconscious listens to QVC that is on my tv and my fingers start to dial 1800-buy-to-much-.com... I am thankful my husband hasn't revoked the cable as of yet, but as with any addiction you know we shopaholics will find a way ;) LOL

Well today I am reviewing the Me Smooth by Elos and let met tell you; I bought this with the notion I would have been sending it back but guess what, I wanted to try it. So I paid $299, five minutes before the next todays special value was to start and something told me to just try the unit, what did I have to lose. So I dialed automated and prayed I didn't get a dropped call or hit the end call button by accident.

Reason I bought this:
I started swim classes in January of 2013 and well even though I have been shaving for 20 years, I seemed to have grown allergic to shaving. Yes, I am making up the allergic part but the break outs were scary. I would shave every 3 days so that I wasn't wolfing and my pubic hairs wasn't going to grab anyone's leg in my class while making a fool of myself. The break point was when I went to shave and a hair bump was raised high, I pulled the shaver over it and it cut the top of the bump off and a hair protruded... are you grossed out yet.. Well it hurt burned like hell. I also shaved my whole lady friend and used Nair.. but the chemical and my skin don't get along and the hair bumps were so vicious I had so many hair bumps and grew frustrated with trying to get the hair out. So... I couldn't continue that.

While waiting for my Me Smooth to come in...GUESS WHAT I DID... I Epilated my armpits and they were bleeding so I decided to get a wax and it went smoothly. I was in pain with the Vajajay area but as I say to people "The first time is the worst time, after that it is smooth shaving..I mean sailing" LOL . When my Unit came in, I immediately called the company and asked was it okay if I used it several times a week and extended the treatment; they told me it was ok and that it couldn't hurt me. I then proceeded to use the unit doubling the treatment time, tripling the days of use. My bikini area was clean in four weeks and no growth months later even after stopping maintenance treatments, (I don't advise you stop, twice a month isn't going to kill you) My underarms took all of the seven weeks and probably a little more.

Ladies, you truly start to see hairy pits and five o'clock shadows when your hair free. I kept noticing and trust I wasn't looking for it, hairy pits on women of all shades and sizes. Those five o'clock shadows is no joke either.. I kept noticing that on myself only when I started shaving multi times weekly. Normally I only had to shave once and shadows wasn't an issue.

My only issue with this unit ladies and it goes with laser as well is before I used this, I never had to wear deodorant. I literally only perspired when I was about to get my monthly visit. ALL OF A SUDDEN... POW... I was wearing protection all the time thinking my period was coming but no... the Me Smooth unit happened to affect my glands and it is a known issue with laser and IPL.. with enough research... But would I take a do over if I could? NOPE.. I would use it again in a heart beat. I absolutely love being hair free. You can use this unit from cheek to toe.

Price: $299 TSV ($328 plus shipping)

What you get:

What you get if you order from QVC, is the ME Smooth Unit, the power cord, a case to hold it in, a cap to put over it when you don't have a cartridge in, 2 cartridges with 6000 pulses and the instructions and box.

Overall:
This unit is amazing, but you will have to tweek it for your own personal use. Will it work in 7 weeks? I doubt it would have for me but it works none the less. Try it how I tried it, but consult with the company first as things may have changed. This works for all shades of skin from pale to dark. Don't be afraid.

:) most of all QVC offers a 90 day return on this unit.

Good Luck

Papers on the brain... Hair is basically the same-- April 8th , 2013

I am so tempted to do a few videos if possible and link them here for you guys. Honestly nothing but paper writing, sleepiness, and case briefing has been going on. I am taking a swim class for this semester and am really trying to keep as little damage from happening to my hair as possible.
My semester is coming to an end in 4 weeks (and the next semester starts 11 days afterwards :/ ) go figure, LOL.

I have some updated pics to post at a later day :D maybe after my semester is over.
I have a lot of new products to review. I am going to a hair EXPO in a few weeks April 20th, 2013, in  BROOKLYN, so ladies and gents please make sure you try to make it. I am pretty sure it is going to be nothing less than fabulous. May 4th is the hair show in Philadelphia, and I am super excited about that.

I have been getting out and enjoying the pleasures of life and the good weather :)

I am still using Wen & 613. My hair is still loving it and I wish I could pin point just one, but I can't :)

I am currently enjoying Wen Pomegrante, which is slowly becoming my favorite of the Wen line as far as the feeling it leaves my hair in. :-) can you say amazing.

I hope everyone is having a blessed SPRING. I am going to look into video uploadings which will be short, at about 3-5 minutes. Until next time, have a great day......

Love me, Hate me - Natural short hair - November 27, 2012

Three more weeks to go before the semester is over and let me tell you, I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!
LOL, I can't, I want this over like yesterday or tomorrow. (laughing for real)

My hair, My hair what can I say... I love it some days and I hate it other days. There has been days, I have to wash it atleast 4 times because something has gone astray. My wash and goes were banging up until a few days ago. I don't know if I was just tired or frustrated that my hair was wierd feeling. I truly don't know. I braided it up today to wear a half wig or wig. Other than that I am posting a few pics of my wash and go's. I use either Miss Jessies Curly Pudding or Miss Jessies Quick Curls. I love Miss jessies Quick CURLS,  I DO I DO and I also like the Pillow soft curls... I wonder do any of you ladies use nothing? I would feel the hair would get dry. I like the Curly Butter creme but it smells putrid. I did get the Baby Butter, I will no longer purchase the Curly Butter.  I will be using that sucker up though LOL... I tell you I will. I did well for this black friday. I didn't purchase a whole bunch of product yay...LOL

Well I just came to do a quick update.

Happy New Years--- I know I am late -February 3, 2013

Happy New Years Ladies (and Gents).

I know I am late and offer my sincere apologies :D.
I have been in school, sick with a lung inflammation, sinus infection, severe allergies and a fever...yet still working magic on this hair.

I have reached APL (crowd cheers with vigor) quiet now....I know, I know... just funning with you.
I have reached APL and I still can't bun my hair with out excess tension being put on my scalp and strands. I am currently wigging as one of my semester classes are swimming and I want easy access to wash my scalp as well as keep it tucked nicely under my swim cap. So far so good.

I am rocking my MOMMY wig. She needed a dire washing last week and that bought back her shine and her waves and pixie curls. Ladies if your wig is looking dull and anything and everything seems to NOT work, try Fantasia Wig Cleanser. It does an amazing job of cleaning your Wig hair and keeping it conditioned. If you would love to be cheap like me, use only half of the recommended dosage because it works just as good as a full dosage.

Most of my styles are Wash and goes, and high puffs. I attempted and succeeded with setting it in Perm Rods and curlformer sets. I think next time I set it in rods, the rods will be bigger and I will come them out a little for a more Frolicious Mohawk effect.

I colored my hair Vivacious Red by Dark and Lovely and will do it two more times before using a henna and indigo over it. I don't want to damage my hair too much.

Other than that I have really decided Waist Length Natural is enough length for me. SURE the glories  of Hip Length or Tail BOne length are great and grand but "Ain't NoBODY got time for that"
Sugar honey BOO BOO, I have four kids and am a student myself. Who wants to be toying around with all that hair? Not I say's the cat! LOL

On another Note, I seriously am budgeting a certain amount for my hair yearly.

$500 and no more than that...

$175 towards my Wen products including 613 (will take advantage at the end of year for getting more bang for my buck)
$175 for Miss Jessies (will buy during the end of the year to take advantage of my budget and the sale)
$150 towards other needs from a regular Beauty supply store, Sally's or Mr. Kim (my actual BSS owners name)

This will go onto a TD bank gift card.. Once I am done... I am done! I will have to use what ever is around. Plus I am going to dabble into more Domincan Conditioners. They are cheaper and effective.

Once again my apologies for my lack of posting. I will try to do a monthly blog to keep up. Don't take my lack of posting as a sign for any lack of appreciation for the love of writing and reviewing.
